Sirona have made an update for CEREC 4 software - service pack SW 4.02. You can get this from the Sirona Downloads page.
The key feature of this service pack is the return of Bite Material Scan. This is much easier and quicker to do for single units particularly on back teeth. I have posted a video of how to use the new features of 4.02 on my CEREC 4 Blog page.

Sirona have a software patch for the new v4 called 4.01 downloadable from the Sirona Downloads page on the Sirona website.

November 2011

CEREC 4 is here! Sirona have done an incredible job with the new version 4 of the CEREC software and it has been shipped with new units since mid September. I have been using it since September routinely and to quote the late Steve Jobs “ this changes everything!”
I have added a page just on version 4. I held the first UK update course for CEREC dentists moving from 3.8 to 4 in October on behalf of Ceramic Systems and am working on a DVD to teach experienced CEREC users how to use and get the most from the new version 4. Sept 2010

Version 3.8 “Biogeneric’ is now here. I have been using it since June 2010 and the software engineers at Sirona have again done a great job in making the system even better. There were a few minor bugs but thankfully Sirona have released an update patch v3.85, available to download from our Downloads page or from www.sirona.de

You can download a pdf on the new Biogeneric v3.8 from the downloads section. As soon as the update patch becomes available I will notify all those registered at Dr Cerec.
